Coquitlam Public Library is a registered charitable organization. We welcome all donations as they help us to engage our diverse community through creativity, discovery and knowledge.

It is easy to donate using our secure online donor form where you can:

  • Use Visa, MasterCard or Amex credit cards, Interac debit cards, or PayPal money transfers.
  • Specify what service or project you would like to support.
  • Receive an official tax receipt by email immediately.
  • Make a gift in memoriam of a beloved, and have a message sent to the family.

Living Legacy Fund

Donations to the Living Legacy Fund are used to enhance our collections and libraries and provides for special services and programs.  Your generous donation makes a real difference at the Library and in the case of monetary contributions, you will receive a tax receipt and acknowledgement through our Donor Recognition Program.

Donating Material

Coquitlam Public Library accepts donations of recently published books and audio-visual materials. We accept items of popular interest that are in excellent condition.

We review all donations according to our purchased material standards; items that do not meet those standards may be sold in our book sales or discarded.

We will accept up to 50 items at a time, delivered to either of our two branches. No tax receipts will be issued for donated materials.

Once received the donations are the exclusive property of Coquitlam Public Library.

We do not accept the following:

  • Water damaged, yellowed, moldy or mildewed items
  • Encyclopedia sets
  • VHS / cassette tapes
  • Mixed media kits
  • Readers' Digest Condensed books
  • Books in languages other than English, Chinese, Korean, Spanish Farsi or French
  • Magazines Textbooks and workbooks
