Holiday Hellos FAQs

• Why are we doing this?

  This project was conceived as a way for us to bring our communities together! The holidays can be a lonely and isolating period for many people and the health crisis has only further isolated and alienated our community. We are doing this to bring our community together and spark conversations about connectedness within our community.

• Do you review submissions?

  We are happy to share all submissions! We are not judging content or quality - we know that they were made with love. However, we may make minor changes (for example we will remove information that could identify you) if there is a specific need.

• Will the Library share submissions?

  Yes! We will enthusiastically share your contribution with seniors in our community. However, by submitting your greeting, you are also giving permission to the Library to copy or share your greeting for the promotion of this or other library projects.

• Who will be receiving a Holiday Hello?

  The Library provides ongoing support to seniors in the Coquitlam community through Library services and through partnerships with community organizations.
  
  We will be sending your Holiday Hellos to seniors that are registered customers of these services.
  
  However, if you know someone who lives in Coquitlam that you think would love a Holiday Hello, please contact outreach@coqlibrary.ca.

• I am a teacher at a Coquitlam school. Can my class participate?

  Yes! Please and thank you! We would love to receive contributions from students and schools in our community! We would also be happy to support your class however we can. If there is anything that the Library can do to support your participation, please do not hesitate to connect.
