It’s National Hobby Month and we’re encouraging you to dive into the wonderful world of hobbies. Besides personal enjoyment, hobbies can give you a boost in other ways:
- Stress Management: Hobbies serve as effective stress relievers. Painting, playing a musical instrument, or gardening can give us a break from the pressures of our day-to-day.
- Mindfulness: Hobbies help you focus on the moment. Activities like cooking, knitting, or bird-watching encourage us to concentrate and set distractions aside.
- Social Connection: Hobbies are great ways to make connections. Joining a book club or sports league can help you meet people with shared interests and foster a sense of community.
How to Participate
- Pick up a Hobby Bingo sheet in-person at the Poirier or City Centre branch or download one from this Library News article.
