We're excited to share a new collection on Libby, called Lucky Day! All of the ebooks and audiobooks in this collection are popular, high-demand titles and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Here's how it works:
- You can borrow up to two (2) Lucky Day copies at one time
- Lucky Day copies have a shorter loan period of seven (7) days
- No holds, no renewals
How do I find Lucky Day titles?
Lucky Day titles are (fittingly) marked with a shamrock icon. You might come across them in search results, at the top of your Holds shelf, in booklists, or by using filters. When you do, just tap Borrow to skip the waitlist and start reading.
To find out what Lucky Day titles are currently available, go to Explore (on your Libby app, this is the magnifying glass on the bottom left), and tap skip-the-line under "Explore With Filters".
Checked out titles are hidden from view and the selection will change frequently as titles are returned and new titles are added, so check back often!
What if I have a hold on a book that's also available in the Lucky Day collection?
If you see a Lucky Day copy of a book that you also have on hold, go ahead and borrow it! It's your lucky day - you can skip the line and start reading right away.
If you have a hold on a title that is part of the Lucky Day collection, and the Lucky Day copy is available, you may see it displayed at the top of your Holds Shelf with a shamrock icon and the phrase skip-the-line next to it. Remember, all Lucky Day copies are first come, first served, so check back often to see if one is available!
Your hold will still exist on the regular eBook or audiobook copy, even after you borrow and return a Lucky Day copy.
