The Scary Story Contest is a long-standing spooky tradition for the aspiring young writers in the TriCities. Our expert judges have read this year's submissions and have selected the tales that chilled them to the bone. Read the winners below--if you dare!

Prizes are gift cards to Coquitlam Centre Mall. First prize value is $50, second prize value is $30, and third prize value is $20 in each age category. Chances of winning depend on the number of entries and skill level of participants. Winners will be notified by phone or email by October 28 and can collect their prize at their local library. Winners forfeit unclaimed prizes after 3 months from notification. No purchase necessary. You are providing your information to Coquitlam Public Library, Port Moody Public Library, and Terry Fox Library, and it will be used for contacting the winners. Winning stories will be published on the Coquitlam Public Library, Port Moody Public Library, and Terry Fox Library social media and/or websites.
