One eRead/Un Livrel Canada 2026

A month-long, bilingual, digital book club featuring the novel What I Know About You by Éric Chacour.

This April, Coquitlam Public Library will once again participate in One eRead/Un Livrel Canada. This month-long, bilingual, digital book club presented by the Canadian Urban Libraries Council (CULC), opens a new window aligns with CULC’s ongoing advocacy around eContent for libraries, and promotes Canadian stories that can help Canadians grow in their understanding and appreciation of the unique aspects of their country, and the lives of Canadians from coast to coast to coast.

From April 1st to 30th, we will offer free, unlimited access to What I Know About You (Ce que je sais de toi) by Éric Chacour in eBook and audiobook formats through our digital catalogue on Libby. What I Know About You, Chacour’s debut novel, takes readers from Cairo to Montreal with Tarek, a man bound by family expectations whose life is upended by an impossible love. A heartbreaking epic spanning fifty years, What I Know About You has been a bestseller in both English and French, and has garnered accolades in North America and Europe. It was the winner of the Prix Femina Award, a finalist on Canada Reads, and shortlisted for the Giller Prize and the Dublin International Literary Award, to name just a few.

The French eBook, opens a new window will be available on Bibliothèque Numérique, opens a new window and the French audiobook, opens a new window is available as a special production by Radio-Canada’s Ohdio, opens a new window.

At the end of April, readers are invited to attend two national live-streamed author events in English and French. More information about these live streams will be available through the One eRead/Un Livrel Canada website, opens a new window.
