Removing barriers to library resources

At Coquitlam Public Library, we want to connect everyone with the titles they need. We have a wide variety of materials and formats available, including Large print, eBooks, eAudiobooks, MP3 and DAISY, making it easy for everyone to access the fullest range of resources available.

Home Delivery

We deliver library materials to your home and pick it up for return, free of charge. Library staff can hand-select titles based on your criteria, or you may request specific titles to borrow.  This delivery service runs every 4-weeks, and requires registration., opens a new window

Audiobooks

A special collection of physical audiobooks reserved for customers with print disabilities.

  • Available at the Poirier branch
  • Restricted collection for individuals with print disabilities, for example, but not limited to, low vision, the inability to hold or manipulate a book, or impairments related to comprehension
  • Registration required

Braille

There is a small collection of braille books for children available in the Lower Mainland. For more information or to place a request, please contact outreach@coqlibrary.ca. CELA also has a selection of braille books available to borrow.

Centre for Equitable Library Access

Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA) provides accessible library services for Coquitlam residents with print disabilities. Service is open to all ages and includes braille, books, magazines and newspapers delivered digitally.

InterLINKThe Library is an InterLINK member through which customers can access even more materials in accessible formats.

This collection is available through interlibrary loan and includes audiobooks and braille books for children.
