Creating Resumes and Cover Letters that Get You the Job!

Resumes and cover letters are essential parts of every job search: it’s important you get them right. Get equipped with the tools you need to create resumes and cover letters that get you the job. Learn what hiring managers look for and how you can customize your resume and cover letter to give you the best chance at securing an interview.

At the end of the workshop, there will be a short resume clinic, during which a Career Adviser from WorkBC Centre Coquitlam will take a look at your resume and provide brief feedback. Register online.


H.E.R.O.S. Emergency Preparedness Program

Are you and your family ready for an emergency? This fall, the City of Coquitlam will be holding H.E.R.O.S. Emergency Preparedness sessions at the Library. These sessions will cover both man-made and natural hazards, including power outages and earthquakes.

One eRead Canada Podcast

The One eRead Canada Podcast - Part II is now available to stream. The podcast discusses some notable parts in the novel Glass Beads by Dawn Dumont. Special guest Terri Galligos of the Tla'amin Nation, Northern Coast Salish also answers our questions. Terri is the District Aboriginal Resource Teacher for School District 43.

Innovation Hub at City Centre

Come to the City Centre branch (1169 Pinetree Way) and use our 3D printers, scanners, and high powered creative software to bring your innovative ideas to life. Open houses are on Fridays, 2:00 - 4:00 pm.

Economic Development Tool

The City of Coquitlam has launched a new online tool to provide customized local data to businesses.

The Economic Development Tool is free and easy to use, and can be tailored to specific industries. It allows anyone starting or growing a business to search for data on the local economy, customers, competitors and the workforce.
