If you're feeling isolated and alone, we are here to help. We're doing phone check-in's to provide information, connect you with resources, or just to chat! 

Available for homebound customers and seniors 60 years and up.

Accessibility and Homebound Services

The Library offers collections and services to serve customers with reduced mobility and/or print disabilities. In light of the current health crisis, we are expanding eligibility for delivery to include all older adults (60+) in our community.   


Homebound Delivery Service

The Library provides free delivery and pick up of library materials to Coquitlam residents with reduced mobility and/or print disabilities. In light of the current health crisis, we are expanding eligibility for delivery to include all older adults (60+) in our community. Librarians select materials for patrons according to their preferences and needs.

Audiobook Collection for the Visually Impaired

Poirier Branch has a collection of audiobooks in CD and CD-MP3 formats exclusively for visually impaired customers. Please note that audiobooks may require a Daisy Player, Plextalk Player, personal computer or DVD player. The Library is pleased to offer Daisy Players for loan upon request.

Materials and Formats Available

In addition to materials available to all Library members including large print books, CD books, eBooks and eAudiobooks, Accessibility Services members may also access formats such as physical audiobooks in CD, MP3 and DAISY formats, downloadable books and more.

Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA)

CELA provides accessible library services to people with print disabilities. Eligible members of all ages will find a broad choice of books, magazines and newspapers delivered by mail, as well as digital formats delivered by email.

The Library is a member of CELA. With a library card, Coquitlam residents who have a print disability can register for this service.
