Tri-Cities Community Television recently did a short feature about Library LInk. See the video below:

Library Link (formerly the “Book Bus”) has been part of Coquitlam Public Library’s services since 2009 and currently serves the communities of Maillardville and Mundy Park on Wednesdays, Riverview and Burke Mountain on Thursdays and Fridays, and Cottonwood on Saturday mornings.

In 2013, the Book Bus had 4,579 patron visits and circulated 13,649 items through its service stops.

Unfortunately, in May of 2014, a fire destroyed the original vehicle. Limited service continued with a rental van. Thanks to generous support from the community and our sponsors, a replacement vehicle was purchased and outfitted with Wi-Fi and a sound system. By October 2015, the new Library Link was again visiting local neighbourhoods, this time bringing expanded services, new books and DVDs.

To contribute funds for Library Link online, click here. Please make a notation in the message field “for Library Link.” Donations are accepted at both branch locations or online. Tax receipts will be issued.
